Boot-Leg Milk

Have you heard about this? Apparently there is a high demand for breast milk.  Not only that, but because of the testing and processing done to the milk, the price for mother’s milk through legitimate channels seems to be quite high.  This has led to an underground network of “boot-leg” milk, as it were. ~ So I’m reading about this and so many visions are going through my head.  Back street meetings taking place in trench coats and hats pulled down low; the swapping of unmarked envelopes and coolers wrapped in plain brown wrappers; mommies huddled under a tree at the park, whispering nervously, scrambling as the park police come into view; a nervous mommy being questioned under a hot, bare light bulb – “talk or we’ll get the paddle!”…omg, the list just keeps going on and on and on, hehehe.  Who woulda thunk that we mommies would be carrying around our own white gold mines? (just food for thought :P) ~ ~~~ ~ Gina 1*888*430*2010

American Idol

Usually I do not watch this show, because frankly the audition embarrass me, that’s right they embarrass ME! lol. I watched the first show the first year and had to turn it off, I just couldn’t take it. It’s a new season and I decided that I would give it another shot at watching it. There are some people out there with some amazing voices, and then…there are those who embarrass me over the air waves lol. But you have to give it to them, they are passionate, and enjoy singing and are not afraid to get up there and belt it out. I guess sometimes you have to leave your comfort zone and just go for it! Sometimes, I will speak to someone on the phone who is having a very hard time facing who they are and what they like. I lend an ear, and try to give some encouragement, understanding, and love. Don’t be afraid of who you are, or what you feel inside, it’s what makes you that wonderful person you are. Lizabeth 1-888-430-2010

Smiles

What makes you smile so big and wide is it when granny takes you into her arms and holds you ever so tightly against her. Maybe its when she checks that diaper and makes a funny face looking down at you saying oh my i smell something down there.Or just maybe its when she changes that stinky diaper and give you a fresh bottle of milk and tucks a nice fuzzy warm blanket around you and rocks you to sleep sounds good to me. i enjoy teasing my little ones because they are funny and ever so cute to watch. But then again never know what granny might have up her sleeve she is always thinking of something she can dress you up in as you know she loves her sissy boys. Lily 1-888-430-2010

Auld Lang Syne

Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And never brought to mind? Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And auld lang syne! Chorus.-For auld lang syne, my dear, For auld lang syne. We’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet, For auld lang syne. Did you know? Although the song is traditionally sung at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve, in Scotland, where it originates, it is sung on January 25th aka Burns Night, in recognition and celebration of the author and famous poet Robert Burns. ‘Auld Lang Syne’ literally translates from old Scottish dialect which means ‘Old Long Ago’ and is about love and friendship in times past. The lyrics ‘We’ll take a Cup of Kindness yet’ is in regards to a drink shared by both men and women, which symbolise their friendship. Happy New Year!!!! Mommy Sara 1 888 430 2010

Bells Across the Snow

First pupil: Christmas, merry Christmas! Is it really come again? With its memories and greetings, With its joys and with its pain There’s a minor in the carol, And a shadow in the light, And a spray of cypress twining With the holly wreath tonight. And the hush is never broken By laughter, light and low, As we listen in the starlight To the “bells across the snow.” Second pupil: Christmas, merry Christmas! ‘Tis not so very long Since other voices blended With the carol and the song! If we could but hear them singing As they are singing now, If we could but see the radiance Of the crown on each dear brow; There would be no sigh to smother, No hidden tear to flow, As we listen in the starlight To the “bells across the snow.” Third pupil: O Christmas, merry Christmas! This never more can be; We cannot bring again the days Of our unshadowed glee. But Christmas, happy Christmas, Sweet herald of good will, With holy songs of glory, Brings holy gladness still. For peace and hope may brighten, And patient love may glow, As we listen in the starlight To the “bells across the snow.” —F.R. Havergal Lily

Humiliation

Oh doesn’t he look cute with his Hello Kitty gear? * snicker * I think that he does. I think he looks soooooo cute that all of you should see him. One of my callers wanted me to see him and this is what he sent me along with a note asking to be shown on a blog. I dig the ear muffs, I may have to have him get me some the next time he is out shopping. Next time though, no pants dress or skirt baby sissy. Mommy Lexus

Happy Thanksgiving

With Thanksgiving coming up I am getting ready to cook, and cook a lot. I enjoy it so it’s one time of the year that I cook recipes from my family members and try new things too. This year I am trying a new Peanut Butter Pie recipe so wish me luck with it. I hope that each of you has a wonderful Thanksgiving and a safe one too. If you’re lucky enough to have someone cooking up a storm enjoy it and if you’re the chef then have fun too. Don’t forget what you’re thankful for and make sure the ones you are thankful for hear it from you. Happy Thanksgiving!, Mommy Scarlet
