Memorial Day

This up coming weekend is a very important weekend for our currant military personal and those who have served in the past. I was looking at some web sites this morning and it brought tears to my eyes. So many moving images and so many stories of bravery and loss. Who Are You?

Many of us walk around every day never really realizing who we truly are. There are so many pressures on us to become or be something that we are not. If you are heavy in weight you should be skinny. If you are to skinny then you should gain a few pounds. If you are poor you should be rich. If you are rich then you should be richer. It’s never ending. There is nothing wrong with striving to be better at something, but if you never actually find your true self then being better really will not matter. You will always feel empty and feel like there is something missing, always trying to find your happiness. Finger Painting

I was looking around for finger paints, and look what I came across!  Isn’t it fabulous?  The art work is so intricate and life like, you almost forget that there is just a hand under all that paint and not gloves of some sort.  Can you imagine how long something like that takes to complete?  This beats a hand puppet any day of the week!  All I know is if it were me, I would have plastic gloves on to keep them unspoiled, and not wash my hands for a month, lol. When Hairballs Go Bad

This photo made me laugh. I mean would you be scared of that? Really? It looks like something you pull out of your drain. Just get some Brawny and swipe it up, give it a good shot of clorox cleaner as well. I can see maybe if you were a germaphobe or something along those lines. But come on, would you lay on the floor and scream and be afraid? Okay talking and walking hairballs are not the most common thing, and one might be startled at first, but to react like this lady here? Now that I look better at it, he looks a tad like he might be just trying to ask her a question. Look at his right hand, it looks like he is holding it up to say…Excuse me? Might you tell me where the Mr. Clean convention is? And this crazy chick falls to the floor and starts screaming. Maybe she is the one we need to be afraid of and not Mr. Glop there. Babies Nursery

Mommy loves to shop and redoing the nursery is always so much fun. My little one loves when Mommy redecorates and goes on shopping sprees. The hardest part is settling on only one new style *giggles* that’s why I shop every year keeping the nursery fresh and new and fun! Fresh new paint, some wall decorations and new linens. Lil’ Kitchen Helper

So, I’m preparing to make some Portuguese sweet bread, and I was thinking wouldn’t it be great if I had a little kitchen helper here with me. We could have matching aprons, and you could help me gather all the ingredients and bring them to the table. Once all the ingredients have been mixed, you can help me kneed the dough until it is just right. You would look so cute with flour smudged across your face and on your nose! Then once it has risen, and is ready to go into the oven, you can watch it grow as the sweet smell fills the house. Saying I Love You

How do you tell someone you love them when you can’t find the words? It’s difficult to tell someone those three simple words, such small words with so much meaning. Great Flick

They released Dirty Dancing out on DVD. I am looking forward to watching this one again. After watching all the Dancing with the Stars, I think I need to see the man who knew all the right moves! I remember when I first watched this flick, I use to day dream about Patrick Swayze for days on end. I even called my boyfriend Patrick once, he would get so mad at me LOL.
