Through the looking glass….

As I sit and reflect on my Mother, a smile always comes to my face. I think of the first time I skinned my knee and how thoughtful and concerned she was. Taking me inside and bandaging my knee, wiping away my tears with her kisses. I reminisce of the smells, the fresh baked cookies, dinner cooking all day long on the stove in preparation for a larger Sunday evening dinner. I reflect on her singing and rocking me to sleep long into my double digits. I recall the shopping […]

Toothache

I have had the bad fortune of having to visit the dentist. And all I can say is Owieeeee! Dentist visits are no fun. It made me think of my little abies and when they have toothaches. How miserable they feel and how they suffer. Poor little ones up crying all night and not much to soothe the pain. There are lots of home remedies that Mothers use that help to ease the pain. So be sure to take care of those pearly whites! Listen to your MOM! Sara 1 […]

First Bike

Do you remember your very first bike? Training wheels and all! Do you remember all that hard work with Mom outside trying to ride it all on your own? No training wheels? No Hands? Mom making sure you were covered top to bottom in protective gear? Well if it was long ago you may not recall protective gear, but Moms heart was still all a flutter I asure you! I remember my first bike ride and how proud I felt when mom let go of the handle bars and the […]

Fall is fast approaching and we will all be once again busy with the holiday hustle and bustle, visiting with friends and family, even having to deal with […]

My Nursery

Look at these plush toys are they not just the cutiest thing you have ever seen? I think preparing for a newborn has to be almost as sweet as bringing them home. Afterall, a lot of time, consideration goes into all the preparing. The color choice, the furniture, how to decorate the walls, babies first toys which in my nursery would include these cutie pies, soft little cuddle bugs! Everything soft, bright and cheerful. I envision my nursery with a murrel of a rainbow, a jade colored pasture blooming wild […]

Benjamin Franklin

Since it is the weekend where we celebrate the founding of our Nation. I thought it would be a good idea to put some quotes up from one of our more famous Founding Fathers. I am speaking about Benjamin Franklin, not a good looking man by the way. None of them were come to think of it if portraits are correct. So, anyway here are a few of the good ones: Where there’s marriage without love, there will be love without marriage. Any society that would give up a little […]

Grandma I remember When you would sing a song You would encourage Us all to sing along And you would sit and rock And […]

Scary Monsters

Does my little adult baby ever get scared of the dark? Come on, no need to be brave, we all think we have scary monsters in the closet. That’s why I adore my little adult baby. I can pull the covers over my head and keep my night lite on and they don’t question my bravery. I can wrap my arms tight around my Teddy and squeeze my eyes shut. But the aby’s understand. They get how scary the dark can be. Shhh now my sweet little abdl’s Mommy is […]
