Kisses And Hugs

I was trying to find out where this comes from. The use of X and O’s to signify Hugs and Kisses, and so far I have come up with this: The REAL definition behind X’s and O’s is this The first mention in literature of XXX for kisses at the bottom of a letter was in 1901, according to the Oxford English Dictionary. The X itself is very old. The custom goes back to the early Christian era, when a cross mark or “X” was the same as a sworn […]

Happy New Year

So how was everyone’s Christmas? Hope Santa treated you well and gave you everything you asked for! Did he leave you a new paci in your stocking? Or maybe a new box of diapers under the tree? In either case, I hope everyone has a Happy and safe New Year, and remember, if you choose to fill your bottle with a little holiday cheer, make sure that mommy is the one doing the driving – we want to see you back here safe and sound for the new year!! Mommy […]

Which List are You On?

Well, looks like christmas is just about on top of us.  Now which list do you think you’re on? Will you be on the nice list? Or have you found yourself on the naughty list this year? Have you been nice to all the other ABies? Eaten all your veggies? Done what your mommy has said? Or have you been less then sweet and cooperative? Well, I’m sure you’ll be getting everything you deserve this Christmas, which ever list you end up on *wink*. In any case, have a wonderful […]

Chritmas memories

One of my favorite parts of the Christmas season is looking over ornaments as I hang them on the tree. Some were mine when I was a child, and some belong to other members of my family. Then there are some I have gotten recently. One of my favorite ornaments was one my Mom gave me that used to hang on her tree. It was a Rocking Horse that looks a lot like this one. It’s nice to see it on my tree now after hanging it at home for […]

Rub-a-Dub-Dub

I love it when its time to get one of my ABies into the tub! I always make sure there are oodles of bubbles to play in. And let’s see – there’s a rubber ducky, wind up fishies to swim about, and of course a sponge mitt. And as a special treat, I have soap crayons so my little one can color a pretty picture on the side of the tub for me. I love to get them squeaky clean then wrap them up in a warm, fluffy towel, powder […]

Good Baby

This has got to be the cutest named diaper cream ever! But it’s only for good babies apparently. It makes me wonder if there is a Bad Baby Diaper Smear, Cranky Baby Diaper Salve, Whiny Baby Butt Balm. Perhaps not, but I smile to think about it. This also reminded me of all the good babies that call me. There aren’t that many lol. For some reason I get a lot of the bad ones. Maybe it’s just me, I’m like a bad baby magnet. But let me tell you, […]

Next Up!

Well, another Thanksgivings has come to pass and Next Up is Christmas. Not much time left to prepare. I myself have my tree up, house is decorated for the most part, shopping is close to complete and fun activities are underway. Some of my favorite things to do during the winter season is enjoying the outdoors, carriage rides down town, taking long drives to look at the lights, bundling up and taking late night stroll under the moon in the fresh crisp air of the night, and relaxing at a […]

Climb up on Mommy’s Lap

Come climb up on mommy Gina’s lap. I just love our special cuddle time we have together. My arms wrap around you, holding you close to my bosom, rocking you gently. I breathe in the perfume of your hair, kissing your head softly, placing my cheek atop of your tussle of hair. My eyes close as I start quietly humming a lullaby; you coo and snuggle down even more into my lap, my arms, your eyes growing heavier and heavier, lulled into such blissful contentment. The world outside simply melting […]

From the Mouth of Babes!

A little boy was overheard praying: ‘Lord, if you can’t make me a better boy, don’t worry about it. I’m having a real good time like I am.’ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A mother was preparing pancakes for her sons, Kevin 5, and Ryan 3 The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake. Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson. ‘If Jesus were sitting here, He would say, ‘Let my brother have the first pancake, I can wait.’ Kevin turned to his younger brother and said, ‘ […]
